• Scales must be memorized and in the exact ranges listed on your scale sheet. You must play the articulation written.
• The chromatic scale can be tongue or slurred depending on your preference.  Trombones must tongue.
• Scales count 20% of each etude. That is a total of 60 points out of a possible 300. Don't neglect this. 
• Percussion are not required to do scales. You have 4 etudes instead.
