Alief Orchestra Day was a big hit. Make sure

Region Band Fun Shots from Dec.
8th and 9th- Students had to combat long periods of boredom and the
intensity of performing challenging music in front of their peers and
judges.
   
   
Percussion Bash Dec. 4, 2006-
The Percussion Department gave its first ever concert to an enthusiastic
audience. Students performed solos, original arrangements and
ensembles. If you missed this one, keep a look out for the Spring
Bash.
    
Dress Rehearsal
 
Morgan Bounds participated in the Region Jazz
Band Clinic and Concert on Nov. 17-18. The two groups were absolutely
amazing! Check the video area for a short clip. Congrats Morgan. We
are proud of you!
  
5 Students paid for an extra trip to the
Percussive Arts Society International Convention. Drummers from all
over the world converged on Austin, TX for this 4 day meeting of the minds
in the percussion world.
  
Percussion Students were one of two groups
to win the Houston Chronicle's Stomp Challenge. We played before the
stomp show and watch the show. We also met with the performers after
the show! What a great evening!
   
   
 
Our First Big Concert of the year was a
smash hit. Check the sounds page for new files (coming soon). Check
